An Impression is a metric that refers to the number of times a piece of content, such as an advertisement or social media post, is displayed to users. Every time a user sees the content, it counts as one impression, regardless of whether they engage with it.

Why it’s important: Impressions are a key indicator of content visibility. They help brands measure the reach of their campaigns, even if users don’t interact with the content. High impression numbers suggest that content is being seen, but they don’t necessarily correlate with engagement or conversions.

Impressions vs. Clicks: While impressions track visibility, clicks measure user interaction. Both metrics are essential for evaluating the performance of online advertising and marketing campaigns.
